The Center was established on December 1, 1989, reorganized from the Political Office of Tri-Services College. It was renamed the Military Common Curriculum Center of the National University of Defense on November 1, 1991. The Center is aimed at educating the middle and high-ranking officers to observe the national security affairs with the international macro vision and the development of cross-strait relations, cultivating them to possess the ability of the crisis management and contingency in peace time; mastering the strategies, tactics, philosophy and technology skill through the knowledge and art of leadership in wartime, and shaping their character and becoming modern leading cadres of the ROC Armed Forces who believe in nation, duty and honor.
